Snow in the Middle East

We recently had some snowfall in Jerusalem. My family wanted to contribute a symbol for peace and dialogue in this troubled region of Middle East: Three snowmen - an Orthodox Jew, a Palestinian and a Christian - hand in hand in front of our house in Jerusalem. We work with a Finnish church organisation. Our message is not only to the people in Jerusalem, but to everyone around the world: Let’s enjoy the life together.

PS. We entered this photo to a snow art competition in Helsinki and got the second prize. Thanks to everyone for your votes!! Also, one of the Swiss Jewish weekly magazines published it in February.

That is beautiful. The Snow is a symbol for major change, and your snowmen are a symbol of how.

Mielenkiintoista lukea teidän kuulumisianne! Itsekin ollaan täällä juuri lähtötunnelmissa, kuukauden päästä kohti Etiopiaa. Voikaa hyvin! terveisin Keski-Mäenpäät
